Article notes that 13 NYC schools will move toward expanding the school day or year through a TASC pilot.

The three-year pilot is designed to increase the time kids have to learn and explore enrichments such as arts and fitness. TASC is managing the pilot in partnership with the New York City Department of Education and the city’s Department of Youth and Community Development.
