25 Jul 2007

Twenty-five members of the New York State Congressional delegation have appealed to Governor Eliot Spitzer to allocate emergency funds to ensure that 207 endangered after-school programs can continue to operate at full force during the upcoming school year. The members of the House of Representatives sent a letter to Spitzer appealing for the state to allocate $30 million to rescue these programs, which families count on to keep their kids safe and engaged after school.
