In our first decade, TASC has made extraordinary advancements on behalf of kids and families to become a national model for the public and private sectors achieving social change through collaboration. As TASC approaches its tenth anniversary, we celebrate the generosity, leadership and commitment of our loyal supporters. We are grateful for their partnership that has helped TASC improve program quality and bring after-school to the next level of local and national impact and sophistication.

In our first nine years, TASC has:

  • Leveraged a $125 million 3:1 founding challenge grant by raising $490 million in public and private financing for after-school
  • Changed the learning lives of 250,000 New York City kids and working families who count on after-school daily
  • Supported 326 after-school programs, 269 of which continue operating today
  • Addressed sustainability and capacity-building: 110 of the 326 TASC-supported programs are no longer dependent upon TASC funding
  • Contributed to a transformation in the way after-school is delivered, funded and institutionalized as an essential service for kids and families
  • Raised the bar on program quality
