As a parent, you know the profound impact after-school programs have on the lives of your children, your family and your community. You are the most effective advocate when it comes to getting the attention of policy-makers and elected officials. The only way we'll be successful in sustaining, improving and expanding the availability of after-school programs - and increasing funding at the local, state and federal level - is with your help.
Letters and e-mails are the quickest and easiest ways to get your message across to an elected official or policy maker. Personal letters make the best impression and will garner a reply from legislative staff. However, any form of communication with a legislative office has a significant impact.
Visit TASC's Take Action section to learn more about becoming an after-school advocate.
The TASC Information Kit includes program and research highlights, background on what we do, why after-school is vital, participant profiles, and a closer look at our program model.
